Faber, Robert of Flushing, age 78, died Saturday, December 22, 2012, at McLaren-Flint Hospital. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Thursday, December 27, 2012 at Rossell Funeral Home. Rev. Teresa Peterson will officiate. Burial will follow at Flushing Cemetery. Visitation will be 2-8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
Robert was born in Flint, Michigan on December 31, 1933, the son of Keith and Beatrice (Kilbreth) Faber. He married Betty Jean McLaren on May 8, 1954, in Port Huron. Robert worked at General Electric, retiring after 25 years. He was a member at Durand Sportsman’s Club. Robert enjoyed hunting and fishing, but especially loved music and playing his guitar. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather.
Robert is survived by his wife of 58 years, Jean; children, Mike Faber of Phoenix, AZ, Mark and wife Julie Faber of Flushing, Cindy and husband Jim Turowicz of New Lothrop; step-mother, Lucille Faber; five grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; five sisters; three brothers and special friends, Mark and Lucy Baldwin. He was preceded in death by his father, Keith; two brothers and two sisters.
