STIFF, Douglas – of Burton, age 85, passed away Tuesday, July 17, 2018 at his residence. A Funeral service will be held 11 AM Monday, July 23, 2018 at Allen Funeral Home, 9136 Davison Rd., Davison, MI 48423; Pastor Josh Combs officiating. Burial will be at Davison Cemetery. Visitation will be on Sunday from 3-8 PM. There will be one hour of visitation prior to the service on Monday. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association and Adalyn Sparkle Heart Fund.
Douglas was born in Flint, MI on July 25, 1932, son of the late Ralph and Dorothy (Wise) Stiff. He married Jean M. Williams and she preceded him in death on February 14, 2003. Doug enjoyed golfing, archery, carving, gardening, music and photography. He also enjoyed coaching his sons’ sports teams. Doug worked as a Design Engineer at AC Spark Plug, retiring in 1987.
Douglas is survived by his children, Bruce Stiff and Ralph (Cindy) Stiff; daughter-in-law, Linda Glenn; brother, John (Sharon) Stiff; grandchildren, Brian (Jill) Stiff, Jennifer (Bob) Kenny, Heidi (Ryan) Donaldson, Heather (Russell) West, Hannah (Brad) Colbert, Rick, Chris and Dustin Glenn; great-grandchildren, Cadence, Angel Adalyn, Makena, Tyler, Brenden, Ethan, Ayden, Taylor, Addison, Cruze, Samantha, Luke, Scott, Kyle, Kayla, Ethan, Bryce and Maycee; many great-great grandchildren, nieces and nephews; special friend, Ellen Phillips. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Jean; son, Dick Glenn; sister, Donna; and brother, Richard (Marimae) Stiff.
