KLUTTS, John W. – Of Swartz Creek, age 92, died Friday, July 6, 2018.
Funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, July 12, 2018 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Reverend John H. Grantham officiating.
Burial in Flint Memorial Park.
Visitation 10 a.m. Thursday until the time of the service at the funeral home.
John was born in Rector, Arkansas on December 31, 1925, the son of the late Charles and Maude (Long) Klutts.
He married Mary Shaw in 1952 in Flint and she preceded him in death.
He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II and was in the
U. S. Army during the Korean War.
He loved fishing and his grandchildren.
John was employed by GM Truck & Bus, retiring in 1977 and was an automotive mechanic.
Surviving are son, John Douglas and wife Cathy;
two daughters, Sandra D. Klutts and Linda Williams;
grandchildren, Patrina, Bambi, Karen, Janet and Gordon;
great-grandchildren, Destinie, Hunter, Christian John, Mercedes, Clinton and Piper;
great-great-grandchildren, Clinton, Jr. and Aidan;
several nieces and nephews and dogs, Sparky and Reesey.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary; daughter, Deborah; son, John Wesley (Buster) Klutts, Jr.; parents, Charles M. and Maude C. Klutts, 3 brothers and 4 sisters.
