FRICK, Kourtney Rae – Of Gaines, age 32, died Sunday, April 22, 2012 at U of M Hospitals in Ann Arbor. Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, April 28, 2012 at Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Reverend Louis Canaday officiating. Burial in Evergreen Cemetery. Those desiring may make contributions to Brain Tumor Stem Cell Laboratory, Johns Hopkins University, CRB II, 1550 Orleans St, Room 247, Baltimore, MD 21231. Visitation 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Kourtney was born in Fort Belvoir, Virginia on March 27, 1980, the daughter of James and Kelly (Hutchins) McKinnon. She married Jarred Frick on June 29, 2001. Kourtney worked for Grand Blanc Schools as a Math Teacher and in Special Education. She coached girls basketball, took her daughter to the zoo and children's museum.
Surviving are husband, Jarred; daughter, Raegan; parents, Kelly and Gerry Kragenbrink; father and mother-in-law, Dan and wife Jacque Frick; brother, James Robert McKinnon; brother and sister-in-law, Dan and wife Kelly Frick; grandparents, Suzanne Gaylord, Ray and wife Hazel Hutchins, Ann Gnatkowski, Norman and Joyce Henson; many nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles.
