CRIST, Earl F. - of Flint, age 80, passed away October 9, 2018 at his residence. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated 12 PM Friday, October 12, 2018 at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, G-5199 Richfield Rd., Flint; Rev. Fr. Roy Horning celebrant. Burial will be in New Calvary Catholic Cemetery. Visitation will be 1-8 PM Thursday at Allen Funeral Home, 9136 Davison Rd., Davison. There will be one hour of visitation prior to the Mass on Friday at the church. A Memorial Service under the auspices of the Third Degree Knights of Columbus Council #4090 and Fourth Degree Assembly #0523 will be held at 6 PM Thursday followed by a Rosary being prayed at 7 PM. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association or St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
Earl was born in Flint, MI on December 2, 1937, son of the late Erwin and Dorothy (Perowitz) Crist. He married Lorraine on May 30, 1959 at St. Mary’s in Flint and she preceded him in death June 2, 2005. On January 29, 2006, he married Edith. Earl was a member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church and Society of Manufacturer of Engineering. He was an avid bowler, gardener and card player. Earl retired after 40 years of service at Buick.
Earl is survived by his wife, Edith Crist; children, Gerald T. (Annette) Crist, Paul J. (Elizabeth) Crist, Roger D. (Karen) Crist and Brian M. (Cheryl) Crist; grandchildren, Heather (Zachary) Bahr, Ashley (Lee) Hoggard, Tiffany (Drew) Foxx, Nathan Crist, Branden Crist, Bryan Crist, Nicholas Crist, Andrew Crist, Brittany Gatti, Melissa Thomas (John), Sarah Webb and Kelli Webb; great-granddaughter, Peyton; sister, Diane M. Sabin; brothers, Edward (Marilyn) Crist, Richard (Gayle) Crist and Joseph (Deborah) Crist; sister-in-law, Marilyn (Tom) Edwards. He was preceded in death by his brother, Linus Crist.
