CARTER, James – of Davison, Michigan, age 87, passed away on Saturday, October 24, 2020 at Ascension Genesys Hospital. Cremation has taken place and no services will be held at this time.
Jim was born in Flint, Michigan on June 28, 1933, son of the late Harry and Ruth Carter. Jim served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War. He married Rita Sue Milburn on August 18, 1956 in Flint, Michigan. Jim was an avid runner and tennis player. He will be missed dearly by his friends, family, and beloved dog “Bella”.
Jim is survived by his wife; Rita Carter; daughter, Nancy (Dane) Yeager; son, Mike (Karen) Carter; granddaughter, Haley Yeager; sister, Mary “Char” (Walt) Banacki; many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his brother Dick (Maxine) Carter and his sister, Phyllis (Alec) Mair.
