Galerneau, Leone Dorothy of Burton, age 96, died Sunday, February 14, 2016, at Fostrian Court. Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Friday, February 26, 2016, at Rossell Funeral Home. Gerry Butler will officiate. Burial will follow at Sunset Hills Cemetery. Visitation will be 9 a.m.-1 p.m. Friday until the time of the funeral service. If desired, memorial contributions may be made to the Humane Society of Genesee County.
Leone was born in Appleton, Minnesota on August 11, 1919, the daughter of John and Tillie (O'Konek) Glisky. She married Emil Galerneau at Holy Redeemer Roman Catholic Church, Burton in October of 1942. Emil preceded her in death on March 17, 1982. Leone was one of the founding members of Holy Redeemer Catholic Church, Burton and was also a member of the Burton Senior Center. She enjoyed traveling with the Flint Travel Club.
Leone is survived by her children, Quentin (Sonia), Stephanie (Donald) Goodreau, Anthony (Janice); daughter-in-law, Carol; 10 grandsons; 1 granddaughter; and 11 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Emil; and son, Donald. |
