Forcier, Patricia “Pat” of Flushing, age 74, died Wednesday, August 10, 2016, at her home surrounded by her family. Cremation has taken place. A memorial Mass will be 11 a.m. Tuesday, August 16, 2016, at St. Robert Catholic Church. Fr. Gordon Reigle will officiate. The family will receive friends from 1-8 p.m. Monday at Rossell Funeral Home and 10 a.m. Tuesday at the church until the time of the Mass. A Divine Mercy will be prayed 7 p.m. Monday followed by a Celebration of Life at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Mott Foundation.
Patricia was born in Flint, Michigan, on March 8, 1942, the daughter of Michael and Mary (Ragnone) Cherveny. She married Joseph Forcier in Flint, Michigan, at St. Luke Catholic Church on August 21, 1965. Pat was a proud member of many clubs and organizations, Flushing Book Club, Philomatheon Book Club, Tuesday Club, G.F.W.C. Flushing Woman’s Club, American Association of Gifted and Talented Children, Mott Foundation (Applewood Volunteers), Family Promise and Salvation Army. She was a teacher for many years and enjoyed her career. Pat was a teacher at St. Robert School, St. John Vianney School, Flint Public Schools and Mott Adult High School. She also held the role as a nursery school director.
Patricia is survived by her husband of 51 years, Joseph; children, Joseph II and wife Kim Forcier, Jason and wife Michelle Forcier, Bethany and husband Robert Ransom; grandchildren, Maya, Brenna, Luke, Lauren, Brock, Adam, Branton, Sophia, Bob, Jack, Michael, Anthony and wife Kristin; siblings, Denise Oben, Michael and wife Sue Cherveny; and beloved Goddaughter, Molly Decker. The family would like to thank Sallie Johnson, Pat's special, lifelong friend for her constant care and compassion. |
