PARSONS, Vera L.(Green) -- Age 95, of Flint, died August 2, 2017. Funeral services will be held 11 AM Saturday, August 5 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel 8138 Miller Rd., Swartz Creek. Burial at Flint Memorial Park Cemetery, Mt. Morris. Visitation will be 5-8 PM Thursday and 2-8 PM Friday at the funeral home.
Vera was born August 12,1921 in Twining, the daughter of Harry Green and Laura (Edwards) Green. She married Paul H. Parsons in Flint in 1939. She was a Homemaker who enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren. She was a member of the VFW, Chevrolet Post 3087 Auxiliary. Vera enjoyed playing Bingo, reading and gardening.
She is survived by her son: Harry (Brenda) Parsons; daughters in law, Judy, Linda, and Rayma; grandchildren, Julie, Mandy, Steve, Harley, Drew, Laura, Jennifer, Tracey, Heather, Paul, Samantha, and Polly; several great grandchildren and great great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. A special thank you to Julie for the special care she offered to her grandmother. The family would also like to extend a special thank you to Hamilton Assisted Living and Hospice.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Paul Parsons; daughter, Peggy; sons, Homer, Douglas and Phillip; sisters and brother. Tributes may be shared on the obituaries page of www.sharpfuneralhomes.com.
