DUMLER, Olive May – of Burton, age 93, passed away Wednesday, June 27, 2018 at Pines of Burton, Burton, MI. A Funeral Service will be held 12 PM Saturday, June 30, 2018 at Allen Funeral Home, 9136 Davison Rd., Davison, MI 48423; Rev. Harold K. Polk, Jr. officiating. A private burial will be in Pine Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be from 10 AM until the time of the service on Saturday. Memorial contributions may be made to Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation.
Olive was born in Great Coggeshall, England on January 17, 1925, daughter of the late Frederick and Edith (Kemp) Church. On August 25, 1945 in Chelmsford, England, Olive married Carl J. Dumler, who served in the U.S. Army- Air Force during WWII, where he was stationed in Europe. Carl preceded her in death on April 9, 2012. Olive was an extremely efficient homemaker and enjoyed baking, upholstering furniture, making draperies, sewing clothes for herself as well as doll making. She enjoyed spending time at the family cabin on Johnson Lake in Prescott, Michigan. Olive especially loved her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Olive is survived by her children, Rich C. (Patty) Dumler, Cheryl (Mike) Terbrack; grandchildren, Keri (Doug) Coon, Leslie (David) Dombrowski, Kelly (Mike) Staake, Kristen (Don) Thomas; great-grandchildren, Joseph and Jacob Staake, Lauren Coon, Alyssa and Reese Dombrowski, Sophie, Adeline and Evelyn Thomas; sister, Betty Cook. She is predeceased by her parents, her husband, Carl; sisters, Gladys, Marjorie and Vera.
