Louis was born on November 8, 1943 in Flint, Michigan to the late Louis and Irene Kader. He was a 1962 graduate of LakeVille High School and married Sharon Mack on October 10, 1964 at St. Mary Queen of Angels Church in Swartz Creek. Louis was a long time member of St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church and spent many years working as a carpenter. He tried his hand at other careers as well, including Kader Brothers Trucking in
the mid 70’s. Louis liked watching sports, especially the Detroit Lions and the University of Michigan football.
He once belonged to a bowling league that met on Monday nights, while his children gleefully watched the Brady Bunch. Louis and Sharon also spent many years as members of a card club, where they made many friends. Louis was a quiet, but strong man, with an easy smile. Other hobbies and interests that Louis enjoyed were building and driving dune buggies, deer hunting, and making frequent trips to the casino. He spent time
each summer camping and canoeing with family and friends. He was also a good cook, but his family isn’t sure if he actually enjoyed it.
Louis is survived by his wife of 60 years, Sharon; daughters: Kristine (Mickey) Shepp, Kassandra (Tom) Doty, and Karilynn (John) Whitley; grandchildren: Emily, Elizabeth (Larry), Eric (Brittany), Elyse, Sarah, Tommy, Noah, Sydney, Jonah, Cory (Megan), Andrew (Brenna), Autumn, Mary, Nathan, and Julia; 13 great grandchildren; sister, Barbara (Ron Thiel) Burger of Wisconsin; and many nieces and nephews.
Louis was preceded in death by his parents, Louis and Irene Kader; sister, Irene; brothers, John and Joe; son-in-law, William Ellis; nephews: Mark, Tommy, and Jim; and niece, Kathy.
The family would like to express a heartfelt thank you to Heart to Heart Hospice, especially his hospice nurses Whitley, Kelly, and Jeana, and all the nurses and aides at Stonegate in Lapeer who treated Louis with all the love and care of a family member. |
