HOBOLTH, Hayes "Carl" Major -- Age 83, of Fowlerville, died September 28, 2014. Funeral services will be held 11 AM Thursday October 2 at Tyrone Covenant Presbyterian Church, 10235 White Lake Road, Fenton. Pastor James Mascow officiating. Interment at Evergreen Cemetery, Grand Blanc. Visitation will be held 2-8 PM Wednesday at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Rd., Swartz Creek, and 10 AM until time of service at the church on Thursday. Those desiring may make contributions to Tyrone Covenant Presbyterian Church or Genesee Christian School
Mr. Hobolth was born October 15, 1930 in Imlay City, the son of Carl and Bereniece (Major) Hobolth. He married Viola Alexander in Martinez, CA. on October 18, 1951. He was a veteran of the USAF serving in the Korean War. He was a graduate of Michigan State University, with a Bachelors Degree in Engineering. Mr. Hobolth retired from GM Proving Grounds, Milford, Defense Department, Warren, and Michigan Scientific, Milford. He was a member of Tyrone Covenant Presbyterian Church.
Surviving are: wife, Viola, son, Michael (Vicki) Hobolth and their son, Christopher; daughter, Sandra (Daniel) Carpenter and their children, Abigail, Mitchell and Enoch; daughters in law, Christina (Steve) Raemisch, and their children, Eliana, Jonathan, Max, Victoria and Reagan; Traci (Richard) Hopper.
He was preceded in death by his parents; 2 sons, Tom and Ron; 2 children in infancy, Janice Marie and David.
