SCRUGGS, Dorothy Ann – age 83 of Morrice, MI passed away Wednesday, May 27, 2015 at her residence. Visitation will be held Sunday, May 31, 2015 from 2-4 PM and again from 6-8PM. A Funeral Service will be held on Monday, June 1, 2015 at 11AM with one hour of visitation prior at Hill Funeral Home – 11723 S. Saginaw St. Grand Blanc, MI. Burial will take place at Evergreen Cemetery. Dorothy was born December 3, 1931 in Kennett, MO to the late Ira and Maggie Jane (Jones) Neldon. She married John W. Scott on July 1, 1950 in Arkansas. He passed away on May 28, 1968. She later married Frank Scruggs on March 12, 1971 in Lapeer, MI. He passed away on July 16, 2010. Dorothy was a member of Grand Blanc Church of Christ and of M-21 Church of Christ. She worked for AC Delco for several years. Surviving are her children, John W. (Vilma) Scott, George Scott, Deyer Scott, William (Kelly) Scott, Sue (Walt) Head, Tim Scruggs, and Robin; grandchildren, John Jeremy Scott, Steven (Randirose) Head, Scott Head, Christian (Merlin) Bush, Chelci Head, Emma Leigh Scott, Evan Dart, and Sarah (Marc) Miilu; great-grandchildren, Brittani (Jim) DeRoscher, and Brandon Bush; brothers, Carl Edward (Beverly) Neldon and Raymond Wayne (Dottie Sue) Neldon; special friend, Louie; and several nieces and nephews. Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents, husbands, John W. Scott and Frank Scruggs; beloved brother Orville Burl Neldon; sister, Juarl Dean Cody, and brother-in-law, Jiggs Cody.
