WILLIAMS, Luther – of Mt. Morris, age 85, passed away February 6, 2013 at Tender Care Health Center of Frankenmuth. A Funeral Service will be held 11 a.m. Friday, February 8, 2013 at Allen Funeral Home, 9136 Davison Rd., Davison, MI; Chaplain Gene Smith and Pastor Alan Duce co-officiating. Burial, with Military Honors, will follow in Smith Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be for one hour prior to the service.
Luther was born in Mountain View, Arkansas on April 12, 1927, son of the late Oscar and Ethel (Bourroughs) Williams. He proudly served his country with the U. S. Army during the Korean Conflict. Luther married Carol Thacker in Martinsville, IN, 1952. He was employed at GM, retiring with 31.7 years of service.
Luther is survived by his wife of more than 60 years, Carol; daughter, Karan (Dale) Jenkins; sons, David (Paula) Williams of Millington and Robert Williams of Otisville; grandchildren, Jason Jenkins, Dustin Jenkins, Josh Williams and Brandi Smith; five great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his son, Luther Williams Jr.
