KAUFMANN, Lawrence E. – of Clio, age 83, died Thursday, July 4, 2019 at his residence. Funeral services will be held at 3PM Monday, July 8, 2019 at the O’Guinn Family Funeral Home in Clio. Pastor John Hart officiating. Cremation to follow. The family will receive visitors at the funeral home on Monday from 11AM until the time of service at 3PM.
Lawrence was born September 17, 1935 in Burton, Michigan to the late Glen and Ethel (Menere) Kaufmann. He graduated from Clio High School. Lawrence married Marilyn Hull on May 4, 1974. She preceded him in death February 16, 2006. Mr. Kaufmann is a U.S. Navy Seabee Veteran. He retired from General Motors in 1992 after many years. Lawrence was a member of Community of Christ Church in Flint. He enjoyed watching Detroit Red Wings Hockey, and Detroit Tigers Baseball.
Surviving are: Children: Ron (Diane), Randy (Sarajane), Roxanne (Steve), Larry (Lana), Tom, Kelly (Jerry), Steve, Deborah (Bryan); Many grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren; Brothers: Terry, and John; Sister, Gail.
