Brownrigg, Ronald of Flushing, age 79, died Monday, January 4, 2016, at his home. Funeral Mass will be 11 a.m. Friday, January 8, 2016, at St. Robert Catholic Church. Fr. Gordon Reigle will officiate. Burial will be at a later date at Great Lakes National Cemetery. Visitation will be 2-8 p.m. Thursday at Rossell Funeral Home and 10 a.m. Friday at the church until the time of the Mass. A Rosary will be prayed 6 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. If desired, memorial contributions may be made to The Wounded Warriors Project or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.

Ronald was born in Mt. Morris, Michigan on January 3, 1937, the son of Joseph and Grace (Teeple) Brownrigg. He married Nancy Carlson on May 26, 1962, at St. John Vianney Catholic Church in Flint. Ronald graduated from St. Matthew Catholic High School in 1956. He served his country as a Marine in the Marine Corps and was a proud American. He retired from Citizens Bank after 35 years and enjoyed spending winters in Sumterville, Florida. Ronald was an avid golfer and enjoyed his close friendships with his golfing buddies, Jay, Delos, and Larry. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus #4090 in Davison. Ronald loved caring for and tinkering around in his yard. He adored his family and friends, especially his grandchildren and was a constant fan and encourager to them.

Ronald is survived by his wife of 53 years, Nancy; children, Rhonda and husband David McDermitt, Karen Brownrigg, Margaret Sachs, Mark and wife Kari Brownrigg; grandchildren, Cody Sachs, Jacob and Nickolas McDermitt, Alexandrea and Kaitlynn Brownrigg; sisters, Patricia (Phil) Fearon, Evelyn (Jack) Rubel, Barbara (Jim) Clark; brothers, Joseph (Darlene) Brownrigg, Michael (Marty) Brownrigg, David (Kim) Brownrigg; sister-in-law, Marilyn Brownrigg; many nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Douglas Brownrigg; and sister, Helen Wood.
