Josephine Lazarski, age 96, of Lennon, formerly of Flint, passed away Wednesday, December 28th, 2011 at Durand Senior Care and Rehab Center. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 AM on Monday, January 2, 2012 at All Saints Catholic Church, G-4063 West Pierson Road, Flint with Fr. Anthony P. Majchrowski as celebrant. Rite of Committal will take place at New Calvary Catholic Cemetery, Flint. Josephine will lay-in-state at the church from 9 AM until time of service for friends to call on the family.
Josephine was born in Flint on August 24, 1915, the daughter of Thomas and Marijanna (Melczko) Bartoski. She married Lou Goralczyk in 1937 in Flint, he died in October, 1955. She later married William Lazarski in Flint in November 1957, William passed away in December 1987. Josephine was a former member of All Saints Catholic Church and had been very involved in church activities. She had worked for AC Spark Plug in Flint, retiring in 1957. She also owned and operated Bill's Food Market at the corner of Myrtle and Industrial in Flint with her husband William for many years.
Those who cherish her memory include: sister, Ceceila Hewitt of Lennon; sister-in-law, Callie Bartosik of Massachusets; niece, Carol White of Evart; nephews, Thomas Lawrence of Lennon, Steve (Diane) Bartosik, Greg (Tanya) Bartosik, and Scott (Vanessa) Bartosik, all of Massachusetts; great nieces and nephews, Gina (Dennis) Wiebert of California, Harold (Mary) White of Britton, Michigan, Colleen (Harry) Bradley of Perry and Curtis White of Lennon; 10 great great nieces and nephews, 19 great great great nieces and nephews. |
