BRYANT, Virginia Dare “June” (Bailey) – of Flint, formerly of Lapeer, age 91, passed away August 23, 2017 at her residence. A Funeral Service will be held 11 AM Saturday, August 26, 2017 at Allen Funeral Home, 9136 Davison Rd., Davison; Pastor Larry Kluck officiating. Burial will be in Crestwood Cemetery. Visitation will be 4-7 PM Friday and 10 AM until time of service on Saturday. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the McFarlan Home.
June was born in Erwin, TN on March 16, 1926. She married Harvey T. Bryant, Sr. on July 28, 1944 in Spartanburg, SC and he preceded her in death on June 3, 1987. June was a member of Friendship Freewill Baptist Church and the VFW Auxiliary #4087. She loved to sew, garden flowers, raise butterflies and spending the summer at Wolf Lake. June worked at Bentley Schools.
June is survived by her daughter, Joan C. (Joe) Maas-Miller; son, Harvey (Bonnie) Bryant; grandsons, James (Julie) Maas, Steven (Danielle) Maas, Matthew (Tamra) Bryant and Mark (Janeen) Bryant; great-grandchildren, Lynzi Maas, Erik Maas, Jenifer Maas, Jessika Maas, Alexa Bryant, Luke Bryant, Logan Bryant and Bailey Bryant. The family would like to say a special thank you to the staffs of McFarlan Home and Hometown Hospice for the special tender care of our mother.
