BIRCHMEIER, Catherine Marie – Of Flint, age 95, died Wednesday, July 20, 2016 at Genesee Care Center.
Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Monday, July 25, 2016 at Holy Family Catholic Church, 11804 South Saginaw Street, Grand Blanc,
visitation 9:30 a.m. Monday at church.
Monsignor Jerry Vincke officiating.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Humane Society of Genesee County.
Catherine was born in New Lothrop, MI on September 6, 1920, the daughter of Pius and Emma Birchmeier.
She enjoyed bowling and golfing.
Miss Birchmeier was employed by AC Spark Plug Division for 32 years, retiring in 1974 and was a member of UAW Local #651.
Surviving are many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her five sisters, Albena Brown, Irene Irland, Bernice Hooks, Frances Birchmeier and Pauline "Pat" Benway; four brothers, Arthur, Alfred, Harold and Donald Birchmeier.
