Charles V. Smallman, age 84, of Grand Blanc, died Thurs. July 14, 2016. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Mon. July 18, 2016 at Calvary United Methodist Church of Holly with Pastor Cliff Schroeder officiating. Burial will be in Oakland Hills Memorial Gardens, Novi. Visitation will be from 4-7 PM Sun. at the Dryer Funeral Home, Holly. Mr. Smallman was born in Balkan, KY on July 5, 1932 to Dempsey and Sarah (Goley) Smallman. He was a US Army Veteran and was retired from the GM Proving Grounds in Milford after 35 years of service. He is survived by his wife Phyllis; 5 daughters, Sheryl (Gregg) Clement of TN, Kathy (Mike Elliott) Prose of Linden, Michelle (Jeff) Smith of Holly, Beverly (Rick) Denman of Grand Blanc, and Kelly (John) Zeisloft of Fenton; 14 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren with 1 on the way; 2 sisters, Ilene Lamb of FL and Betty (Jerry) Frezza of Sterling Heights. He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers Ray and Randle Smallman.
