ROZSYPAL, Mary – of Clio, age 90, passed away Sunday, July 5, 2015 at Genesys Regional Medical Center. Funeral services will be held at 11 AM Wednesday, July 8, 2015 at the O’Guinn Family Funeral Home in Clio. Rev. Jim Horne officiating. Burial to follow in Sunset Hills Cemetery. Family will receive visitors on Tuesday from 2-8 PM and Wednesday from 9:30 AM until time of services at 11 AM. Contributions may be made to the charity of one’s choice.
Mary was born on August 3, 1924 in Owosso, MI to the late John and Barbara (Reminar) Fitnich. She married Eward Rozsypal on October 8, 1943 in Pensacola, FL, the same day Edward earned his wings to fly as a Naval Aviator. Mary was a graduate of Lansing Community College. She retired from the Flint Board of Education in 1986 and enjoyed her work at Longway Planetarium. She enjoyed sewing and cooking. Mary loved her grandchildren very much.
Surviving are: Husband, Edward; Children: James (Mlada) Rozsypal of St. Charles, IL, Janice (Alan) Schlytter of Grand Blanc, MI, John (Mary-Shea) Rozsypal of Ann Arbor, MI; Grandchildren: Melissa (Patrick) Womach, Jennifer Rozsypal, Elizabeth (Ross) McCullagh; Grandson, James E. Rozsypal; Step Grandchildren: Eric (Jan) Schlytter , Heather (Mark) McKellar; Sister, Ann Sumbera of New Lothrop. She was also preceded in death by 3 brothers and 2 sisters.
