SEARFOSS, Leona - Age 85, of Gladwin, died Friday, February 2, 2018. Funeral services will be held 1:00 PM Wednesday, February 7, 2018 at Sharp Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 6063 Fenton Road, Flint. Pastor Karen Bolinger officiating. Burial in Evergreen Cemetery, Grand Blanc. Visitation will be held at the funeral home Wednesday from 11 AM until the time of the service.
Leona was born June 12, 1932 in Paragould, AR, the daughter of Ival and Beulah (Householder) Matney. She has resided in Gladwin for the past 25 years coming from Flint. She retired from AC Spark Plug after 25 years of service. She was a member of the U.A.W.
Surviving are: 3 daughters, Phyllis Burnett of Alma, Debby and husband Mike Driskill of Burton, and Barbie McCummings and husband Dale Grubb of Gladwin; 7 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, and 2 great-great grandchildren; sister, Leta Taylor of Lansing; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Delbert, Ray, and James Matney; and sisters, Wanda Bailey and Manerva Jane Carter. Online tributes may be posted on the obituaries page at www.sharpfuneral homes.com. |
