REGIMBAL, Mary Anne - Of Swartz Creek, age 82, passed away Sunday, March 23, 2014 while in Florida.
A Memorial Mass will be held 11am Monday, April 7, 2014 at St. Pius X Catholic Church, 3139 Hogarth Avenue, Flint, MI 48532.
Visitation 4-8pm Sunday at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Flint. A Rosary will be prayed 7pm Sunday evening at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to the Catholic Charities Soup Kitchen or the St. Pius X Choir.
Mary Anne was born to Anthony and Margaret Mavec in Flint, MI on October 21, 1931. Mary Anne graduated from St. Michael's High School Flint, Class of 1949 and the University of Minnesota Duluth in 1953. She lived an exemplary life of gratitude by giving back to her community as a teacher in the Flint and Carmen/Ainsworth school systems, A Girl Scout Leader, an Eucharistic Minister, a Master Gardener and a volunteer at Catholic Charities Soup Kitchen. Mary Anne was a devout Catholic, patron of the Arts and an avid sportswoman and camper. She will be mourned by many friends, especially the members of the Tuesday Toasters. Mary Anne's greatest joy was being a wife and mother.
Mary Anne leaves behind Thomas, the love of her life, who she shared 60 years of marriage, and their 8 children, Anne Marie (James) Taylor, Louise (Wolfgang) Tebbe, Joseph (Sally Jo Carey), Michael (Kathleen McNees), Peter, John (Debbie Miller), Theresa (Joseph) Resta and Matthew;
16 grandchildren, James, Christopher, Chelsea, Rachel, Zacheus, Xavier, Azaria, Rachel, Ramsey, Collin, Joshua, Clarissa, Leah, Daniel, Anthony and Julia;
and numerous great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by he sister, Gloria Hoffman.
The entire family would like to express that although our loss is deep, how fortunate and blessed we feel for May Anne being a part of our lives and the everlasting impact she will have on us all.
Mary Anne had an unprecedented joie de vivre which she shared with everyone she met.
