SAGE, Daniel Edwin – Of Clio, age 72, died Tuesday, September 5, 2017 at his residence. Funeral services will be held 11AM, Monday, September 11, 2017 at the O’Guinn Family Funeral Home in Clio. Pastors: Larry Survance, Jim Horn and Ryan Glezman officiating. Burial to follow in Great Lakes National Cemetery. Family will receive visitors at the funeral home on Sunday, September 10, 2017 from 4PM - 8PM and on Monday from 10AM until the time of service at 11AM. Memorial contribution may be directed to Karmanos Cancer Institute.
Daniel was born February 9, 1945 in Flint, Michigan to the late Edwin and Hattie (Town) Sage. He enlisted in the United States Army and was stationed in Panama. Daniel married Sandra in Flint, Michigan on August 21, 1971. He installed carpets and worked for General Motors for 17 years. Daniel was a member of the Community Church of God in Clio for 12 years. He enjoyed restoring boats, hunting, fishing, and especially the Detroit Tigers.
Surviving are: Wife of 46 years, Sandra; Children: Karen (Kerry) Wood, Mike (Lori) Howard, Dawn Zampick, Daniel Zampick, Paul Zampick, Brandon (Shannon) Sage; 19 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren and 2 on the way; Brothers: Larry (Judy) Sage, Bruce (Judy) Sage, Dana Sage; Sisters: Valerie (Mark) Thiel, Vanessa (Ed) Patterson, Victoria (Ken) Tosi.
