Terry V. Soweter, age 69, of Lapeer died June 14, 2016 at home surrounded by his loving family.
Terry was born September 17, 1946 in Oxford, the son of the late Sidney and Mary Sowter [Kessler]. Terry married on Betty Lawrence on August 26, 1988. He served his country honorably in the U.S. Army, and was an avid outdoorsman that enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening, but most of all spending time with his family and friends. He was a member of the Davison Eagles Club and American Legion - Post #16 in Lapeer.
Terry is survived by his wife Betty, daughters: Syndee Lee, Jennifer (Ernie) Ontano, and sister Cheryl. He is also survived by 5 grandchildren: Olympia, Penelope, Gabriel, Sienna, and Petra. He was preceded in death by is parents.
Cremation has taken place and private family gathering will be held at a later date. Memorials in memory of Terry may be made to the Vietnam Veterans of America.
