MORGAN, Marissa J. – of Clio, age 52, died September 17, 2018 at her residence. Honoring her wishes, cremation has taken place. A celebration of life will be held in memory of Marissa from 12PM until 5PM on Saturday, September 22, 2018 at the O’Guinn Family Funeral Home in Clio. Memorial contributions may be made to Child Abuse Treatment Center of Michigan.
Marissa was born on July 26, 1966 in Burton, Michigan to Mike and Gail (Smithwick) Claxton. She graduated from Bendle High School in 1984. Marissa obtained an Associate’s Degree from Mott Community College. She married Darrin Morgan on July 10, 1999 in Flint. Marissa worked as social worker for GCARD Head Start Program for 20 years. She enjoyed watching the food network channel and spending time with her grandchildren.
Surviving are: Husband, Darrin Morgan; Children: Jacob Morgan and Makenzie Morgan; Grandchildren: Kail Morgan, Elyse Morgan, Taegen Hail, Journey Cruz, and mother, Gale Claxton.
