Dziwura(Podulka), Helen J. of Bay City, formerly of Flint age 88 died January 13, 2017. Funeral service will be 1pm, Wednesday, January 18, 2017 at Dodds Dumanois Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 901 Garland St. Flint, MI 48503. Family will receive visitors from 10am until time of service Wednesday. Burial in New Calvary Catholic Cemetery. Fr. T. Firestone officiating. Helen was born in Flushing, MI July 23, 1928 the daughter of Joseph and Sophia Podulka. She has lived in the Flint area most of her life, spending time in Bay City since 2009. Helen was a member of St. Matthews Catholic Church, Church Altar Society, Genesee Company Food Service Assoc. and volunteered at Genesys Hospital. She was employed by Fisher Body for 7 years, St. Joseph Hospital, Flint Communtiy School System in food dept. with 16 years of service. Helen is survived by 2 daughters Anne Marie and husband Daniel Chase, Wanda Kaye Dziwura and husband Jerry Somalski, siblings Katherine and brother-in-law Martin Arendt of Flint, Jenny Podulka of Palm Desert, CA, sister –in-law Tillie Podulka, many nieces, nephews, great nieces, nephews and special neighbors from Chandler St. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the McLaren Bay Medical Foundation. |
