Ebner, Jr., George – of Clio, age 91, died Monday, April 22, 2019, at Angel Manor in Clio. Funeral services will be held at 11 AM, Friday, April 26, 2019, at West Vienna United Methodist Church. Pastor Billie Lou Gillespie officiating. Burial to follow in West Vienna Cemetery. The family will receive visitors at the O’Guinn Family Funeral Home in Clio on Thursday from 2-8 PM and at the church on Friday from 10 AM until the time of the service at 11. Memorial contributions may be made to the West Vienna United Methodist Church or a charity of choice.
George was born June 15, 1927, in Flint, Michigan, to the late George and Christine (Dietz) Ebner. He was a World War II, U.S. Army veteran. George married Elaine Jensen on June 16, 1951. She preceded him in death on March 10, 2015. He was retired from Fisher Body I with 32 years of service and was a member of the former UAW Local 581. George enjoyed square dancing, camping, gardening, and traveling.
Surviving are: Sons: John (Pam) Ebner of Byron and Mike Ebner (Glenda Bailey) of Flushing; Daughter, Kimberly Ebner of Flushing; 4 granddaughters: Angela (Shannon) Cameron, Melissa (Dennis) Bristow, Christine Ebner, and Carla (Jeff) Kimsel; 10 great-grandchildren; George was also preceded in death by his granddaughter, Lindsay.
