Sharon Louise Gross
Age 76 of Maple Grove Township passed away on Wednesday, January 8, 2020.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00am on Saturday, January 11, 2020 at St. Michael Catholic Church of Maple Grove. Burial will follow at St. Michael's Cemetery. The family will receive friends at McGeehan Funeral Homes Martin Chapel in Chesaning on Friday, January 10th from 2:00 to 8:00pm with a Rosary prayed at 8:00pm. Visitation will also take place at the church on Saturday from 10:00am until the service.
Sharon was born on June 3, 1943 to John and Margaret Elaine (Evans) Diem in Flint. She married Thomas M. Gross on July 27, 1962; they celebrated 49 years of marriage before he predeceased her in 2011.
Sharon spent her life as a loving and devoted homemaker. She loved spending time with her kids and grandkids. Sharon also enjoyed gardening and being outdoors, and she was an animal lover. She especially loved her dogs, birds, and squirrels. Sharon was a member of St. Michael Catholic Church.
Sharon is survived by her children, Thomas (Vicki) Gross Jr., Becky (Allen) Krupp, Troy (Amy) Gross, Shelly (Joseph) Hart, Stacie Wazny, and Eric (Brandi) Gross; her 13 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren; her siblings, Dan (Joyce) Diem, JoAnne (Ward) Dowell, James Diem, Cathy (Robert) Barron, and John (Carole) Diem; as well as many nieces and nephews.
She is predeceased by her husband, Thomas Gross; her parents; and her sister, Mary Grouly.
