Donna Lee Wendling
Age 85 of Maple Grove Township passed away on Wednesday, August 14, 2019 at Westfall Assisted Living.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00am on Friday, August 16, 2019 at St. Michael Catholic Church of Maple Grove with Father John Cotter officiating. Burial will follow at St. Michael's Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Nelson-House Funeral Homes Martin Chapel on Thursday, August 15 from 2:00 to 8:00pm.
Donna was born on July 30, 1934 to Arthur and Marie (Banks) Hyde in Flint. She married Duane A. "Bud" Wendling Sr. on June 25, 1955; they celebrated 47 years of marriage before he predeceased her in 2002.
Donna spent her life as a loving homemaker raising her 4 children. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and family. Donna enjoyed knitting and helping with TOPS.
Donna is survived by her children, Evelyn (Dan) Blazo and Michael (Denise) Wendling; her grandchildren, Cari (John) RodriguezCharles "Skip" (Kayla) McCormic, Candi McCormic (Chris), Mandi (Ricardo) Ramirez, Charlotte (Shawn) Reiley, Todd Blazo, Tanya Blazo (Adam Bartek), and Avéa Wendling; her great-grandchildren, Shellaine Wendling, Keagan McCormic, Jordan Smith, Vincenzo Maniaci, Vito Maniaci, Gavynn Koteless, Santos Ramirez, Néko Ramirez, Ariel Reiley, McKinze Reiley, and Ryker Reiley; her great-great grandchild, Lenynn Brandes; her godchildren, Tony Wendling Jr., Scott Ebenhoeh, Angela Duehring; and her sister, Eunice Wright.
She is predeceased by her husband, Bud Wendling Sr., her children, Cheri McCormic and Duane "Bud" Wendling Jr.; her son-in-law, Dan Blackmer; and her brothers, Chuck, Paul, Jerry, Dale, and Jack Hyde.
Memorial contributions are suggested to the wishes of the family. |
