BROWN, Elva – of Clio, age 93, died Sunday, August 19, 2018 at Gross Assisted Living. Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 AM Thursday, August 23, 2018 at O’Guinn Family Funeral Home in Clio. Burial in Pine Grove Cemetery. The family will receive visitors on Wednesday, August 22, 2018 from 1-8 PM and on Thursday from 10AM until the time of service. Memorial contributions can be made to the Tuscola County Humane Society.
Elva was born May 5, 1925 in Millington, Michigan to the late William and Maude (Thompson) Loomis. She grew up in the Millington area and attended Pine Grove School. On February 6, 1948 she married Russell Brown in Flint, Michigan and he preceded her in death in 2003. Elva enjoyed birdwatching, canning, and was a true homemaker that loved to spend time with her family. The family would like to give a special Thank You to Hoyt Rehabilitation Centre, Gross Assisted Living, Home Health Aide Cheryl, Care Team Hospice, and especially her granddaughter Crystal Miller.
Surviving are: Children, Darryl (Terry) Brown, Pamela Gillespie; Grandchildren, Lance (Evie) Miller, Jennifer Taylor, Jason (Crystal) Miller, Kelly Gillespie, Darryl (Shannon) Brown Jr., Carson (Heather) Brown; Great Grandchildren, Isabella Miller, Ethan Miller, Jack McMillan, Jane McMillan, Caiden Brown, Ella Brown; Sister, Mary Zuhlke; and several nieces and nephews.
