OWENS, Vaughn – of Flint, age 85, passed away May 13, 2018 at his home surrounded by his family. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated 11 AM Wednesday, May 16, 2018 at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, G-5199 Richfield Rd., Flint; Fr. Roy Horning celebrant. Burial will be in St. John Catholic Cemetery. Visitation will be 3-8 PM Tuesday at Allen Funeral Home, 9136 Davison Rd., Davison. There will one hour of visitation prior to the Mass on Wednesday at the church. A Rosary will be prayed at 6 PM Tuesday.
Vaughn was born in Hornersville, MO on June 23, 1932, son of the late John and Martha (Bassham) Owens. He married Patricia Marzonie at Holy Rosary Catholic Church. Vaughn’s hobby was restoring old cars, but his greatest passion was his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Vaughn is survived by his wife, Pat Owens; daughter, Debbie (Jim) Frase; grandchildren, Dan (Ashley) Frase, Nick Frase and Katie (Dan) Bradburn; great-grandchildren, Rylie and Bo. The family would like to extend a special thank you to his caregivers, Jo Ann Vasher and his sister-in-law, Ginny Berry.
