ADAMS, Gary W. “POPS”, age 68, of Davison, formerly of Flint, died Thursday, November 22, 2012 at Genesys Regional Medical Center. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday, November 27, 2012 at Brown Funeral Home, 1480 E. Hill Road, Grand Blanc with Chaplain Hank Messing officiating. The family will receive friends Monday 1 to 8 p.m. Gary was born on December 28, 1943 in Flint, son of the late Lloyd & Estelle (Gibson) Adams. He retired from General Motors following 37 years of service and worked at Flint Auto Auction following his retirement. Gary, an avid sportsman, was active for many years on area softball leagues, as well as bowling and golf leagues. He was a fan of all Detroit Sports teams but was an avid U of M fan. He also enjoyed gardening and being outdoors. Gary was a member of Fraternal Order of Eagles, Aerie #3814. He was married for 39 years to his wife Linda, who preceded him in death in 2004. Gary is survived by children Wendy (Mitch) Wilson, Justen Adams, and Ryan (Trisha) Adams, grandchildren Garrett Wilson, Taylor Adams and Emmy Adams. He is also survived by a brother, Larry (Marianne) Adams, mother in law Vicki (Charles) Lasley, sisters-in-law Brenda Jocz and Carol DePew, brother-in-law Don DePew, along with several nieces and nephews.
