ATCHISON, Delores L. – Of Grand Blanc, age 90, died Friday, August 4, 2017 at Regency of Grand Blanc.
Delores was born on January 7, 1927 in Bellville, Illinois, the youngest of seven children born to Julius and Dina Thomas Moleski.
Delores “Dee” was united in marriage to Willis “Bill” Atchison on November 15, 1947.
Together they had four children, Susan Worsley, Christine Atchison, Julie (Billy) Maslak and Mark Atchison;
Also surviving are grandchildren, Matthew Gignac,
Joshua (Jessica) Gignac,
Jonathan (Sandra) Worsley and Alex Maslak;
great-grandchildren, Chelsea Worsley, Zachary Worsley, Mark Worsley, William Worsley, Josalyn Gignac, Jillian Gignac, Emili Nickles and McKenna Gignac.
Dee enjoyed a full, and happy life, doting on her children and grandchildren, cooking and baking for them.
She loved reading her novels, especially author, Danielle Steel, music, movies, walking in Mott Park, where she lived for over 50 years, and vacationing in East Tawas, Michigan.
The family would like to thank the staff of Regency of Grand Blanc, where she resided the last two years of her life. Their dedication and love that was given to our mom was appreciated, and will never be forgotten.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, September 23, 2017 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road from 1-6 p.m. with a Prayer Service and sharing of memories at 4 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in her name may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
