PEPPLER, Herman E. – of Clio, age 89, died Saturday, December 8, 2012 at Maple Woods Manor. Memorial services will be held at 6 PM, Friday December 21, 2012 at the O'Guinn Family Funeral Home in Clio. Private inurnment will be in Flint Memorial Park. Friends may call at the funeral home on Friday from 4 PM until time of the memorial services at 6 PM. Contributions may be made to Trinity Episcopal Church in Flushing.
Herman was born April 3, 1923 in Flint to the late Cyrus and Anna (Young) Peppler. He served in the US Army during WW II. He married Marva Jean Linder on October 30, 1942. She preceded him in death on March 20, 1978. He then married Verda Princing on January 27, 1979. Mr. Peppler retired from Stevens Moving and Storange in 1985 with over 40 years seniority. He had been a member of Iona Hope Episcopal Church in Florida and the Trinity Episcopal Church in Flushing. He enjoyed traveling, fishing and golfing.
Surviving are: wife, Verda; children, Linda (Ralph) Niedecken of Clio, Gary (Karla) Peppler of Elk Rapids, Rose (Gene) Anderson of WI, David Princing of AZ, John (Jackie) Princing of Gladwin, Terry (Nancy) Princing of Burton; daughter-in-law, Lynnette Peppler of Flushing; 16 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; nieces and nephews. He was also preceded in death by: son, Larry Peppler in 2008; grandson, Jeffrey Peppler in 2007; brother, Willard Peppler; and 2 sisters, Laura Briggin and Elizabeth Dyer.
