FLOYD, Harold E., Sr. – Of Grand Blanc, age 80, died Wednesday, February 21, 2018 at his residence.
Graveside service will be held at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday, February 27, 2018 at Great Lakes National Cemetery, Holly, Michigan, Loren Burt officiating.
Interment at Great Lakes National Cemetery.
Harold was born on January 18, 1938, in Lapeer the son of Harold W. and Florence (Rock) Floyd.
He served in the U.S Air Force during the Vietnam War and was a member of the Davison VFW. He enjoyed fishing, pheasant hunting and playing cards. His greatest joy was spending time with his family.
On October 11, 1963 he married Carolyn “Chris” Powell in Santa Barbara, CA and she preceded him in death on June 16, 2015.
He retired from Michigan Battery.
Surviving are daughter, Angela Floyd-Callihan (Fred);
son, Ed (Joni) Floyd, Jr.;
daughter, Alisha Floyd-Baur;
grandchildren, Tiffani, Kristi, Rick, Kati, Tyler, Alex, Caylin and Tory;
great-grandchildren, Kali, Carter, Caleb, Kayden, Tyty, Garrett, Kamren and Sadie;
two brothers, William (Paula) and Donald (Helen) Floyd;
sister, Delores Barnett;
many nieces and nephews.
He was also preceded in death by his son-in-law, Randy Baur and brother-in-law, Bud Powell.
