ABEE, Irma F. – Age 103, went to be with the Lord, Tuesday, May 1, 2012 at Kith Haven. Mrs. Abee was born August 19, 1908 in Minden, Louisiana the daughter of William and Claudia (Harbison) Y’Blood. Irma was a resident of Flint since 1943, coming from Grants Pass, Oregon. She was a long time member of North Baptist Church and the Clara Wood Vercoe Missionary Guild. Irma was a teacher for several years in the Primary Department of the church, a former member of the Christian Business and Professional Women’s Council. Surviving are son John (Kathy) Abee; grandson, Mark (Becky) Abee; step-son, Aaron Sweat; great grandchildren, Patrick and Kristina; and several cousins. Mrs. Abee was preceded in death by her husband Noel Abee and her brothers. Friends may visit the family from 3 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Brown Funeral Home, 1480 E. Hill Rd., Grand Blanc, MI. The Funeral Service will be 11 a.m. Friday, May 4, 2012 at North Baptist Church, 4004 Lennon Rd., Flint, MI. Pastor Todd Meece will officiate. Burial will follow at Evergreen Cemetery.
