Guerra, Celia of Flint, age 89, died Tuesday, October 15, 2019
at her residence.
Funeral Mass will be celebrated 11 AM Saturday, October 19, 2019 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church, G-2316 West Coldwater Road, Flint.
Father Paul Donnelly officiating.
Burial in New Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Our Lady of Guadalupe Church.
Visitation 1-8 PM Friday at the church with a Rosary at 6 PM. Visitation 10 AM Saturday at the church until the time of service.
Celia was born in Detroit, Michigan on April 17, 1930, the daughter of the late Arturo Delgado and Manuela Barrera. On November 5, 1949, she married Refugio M. Guerra and he preceded her in death on November 26, 1979. Celia was an Eucharistic Minister, Lector and Cantor. She was also a member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Parish, Altar Society as well as the church choir.
Surviving are children, Lydia (Richard) Reyes, Lionel (Marlee), Cecelia Rice, Ramona (Daniel) Filipovich, Phillip (Michele), Marcella (Matthew) Forsleff, Christopher (Allison), Eduardo (Heather), Benita (Drew) Holified, Victoria Guerra, John Guerra, and Reuben (Margaret);
58 grandchildren and great-grandchildren;
brother, Raymond (JoeAnn) Delgado;
Sisters, Mary Louise Elizondo and Esperanza Capuchina;
Half-brothers, Ernest, Peter, Danny;
many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by daughters, Veronica Long and Bibiana Guerra-Waters; brother, Antonio Delgado and granddaughter, Andrea Rice.
