DORTMAN, Dale Lee – of Davison, age 75, passed away September 17, 2018. Cremation has taken place. A Memorial Service will be held 1:00 PM Saturday, September 22, 2018 at Allen Funeral Home, 9136 Davison Rd., Davison, MI 48423; Pastor Todd Frusti officiating. Visitation will be 12-1 PM Saturday with the Memorial Service to follow. Burial of cremated remains will be in St. John Catholic Cemetery at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. John Christian Service or to a charity of one’s choice.
Dale was born on September 6, 1943 in Port Huron, Michigan, son of the late John and Victoria (Weymouth). He married Bettijean Teeple on August 31, 1963. Dale worked at Fisher Body 1 until it closed in 1987, then transferred to Buick City before retiring in 1990. He then worked at Sugar Bush Golf Course for 10 years. Dale enjoyed woodworking, hunting, fishing and golfing.
Dale is survived by his wife, Bettijean; children, Glenn (Kim) Dortman, Kim Mann and Tonya (Brian) McKay; grandchildren, Jordan, Julian, Jesse, Mandy, Courtney, Kristina, Jamie, Zach, Jared, Katie, Lauren and Andrew; great-grandchildren, Mikie, Mason, Maverick, Maddox, Callie, Silas, Mariano, Vincent, Emerson, Wayne and Brooklynn; sister, Linda (Ron) Leonard; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. In addition to his parents, his sister, Barb and brothers, Larry and Wayne, preceded him in death.
