DANIELS, James Orville “Jim” – Of Grand Blanc, age 55, passed away May 13, 2014 after a long illness. Beloved husband of Michelle(Olds); dear father of Jessica, Olivia and Jacob; loving son of Walter & Maureen Daniels; treasured brother of Jack, Lori(Mark) Wegener and Mark; dear son-in-law to Carol(Larry) Dreasky and Jerry (Nancy) Olds; special brother-in-law to Mark(Marylou) Olds and Melissa (Tom) Coughlin; cherished uncle and friend of many.
Jim lived in Grand Blanc with his wife and children for the past 22 years. He graduated from Leland High School in 1976 and graduated from Central Michigan University in 1980 with a Bachelor of Science degree. Jim worked as a commercial insurance agent for over 30 years and was most recently employed with Oakland Insurance Companies.
Jim's happiest moments were spent watching his children play sports; hunting, fishing with his dad and brother and golfing with his wife and friends. His family and friends enjoyed him sharing his wealth of knowledge on most any subject, especially the weather.
Memorial Mass will be celebrated 11 a.m. on Friday, May 16, 2014 at Holy Redeemer Church, 1227 E. Bristol Road, Burton, Father Steve Anderson officiating.
Visitation 10 a.m. Friday at church until the time of the Memorial Mass.
Jim's family will receive visitors 10 a.m.-2 p.m. and 4-9 p.m. Thursday at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 W. Hill Rd. A Prayer Service will be held at 7p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
