PORTENGA, Annette Rose – of Davison, MI, age 74, passed away Friday, October 7, 2016 at Clarkston Specialty Healthcare. A Funeral Service will be held 11 AM Thursday, October 13, 2016 at Allen Funeral Home, 9136 Davison Rd., Davison, MI 48423; Pastor Ty Woznek officiating. Interment Davison Cemetery. Visitation will be from 3-8 PM Wednesday at the funeral home. There will be one hour of visitation prior to the service on Thursday.
Annette was born in Muskegon, MI on February 28, 1942, daughter of the late John Portenga and Catherine (Cunningham) Ervin. She was employed with Davison Community Schools, retiring from Gates Elementary School after 44 years of service. Annette was a member of Life Fellowship Chapel in Davison. She volunteered at McLaren Hospice and Hill Elementary School. Annette loved to travel. She visited 52 countries and 28 states and loved all things British.
Annette is survived by her brothers, Carl Ervin and Dennis Ervin; sisters, Carlene Schaaf and Deanna Adams; many other close and dear friends.
