CRAWFORD, Michael J. "Burt" - Age 76, of Swartz Creek, died Sunday March 22, 2020. Graveside service will be held at 1:30 PM , July 8, 2020 at Great Lakes National Cemetery, 4200 Belford Rd., Holly. Arrangements provided by Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Road, Swartz Creek. Michael was born January 30, 1944 in Chicago, Illinois, the son of Archie and Mary (Abernathy ) Crawford. Michael finally chose a sunny Sunday morning to leave this earthly plain and move on to the warmth of the next. He is rejoined with his loving mother, Mary and friends that had chosen earlier times to depart. Michael was a warrior spending 42 years as an electrician for General Motors, leaving only to proudly serve his country from 1961 to 1966 as a United States Marine during the Vietnam War. He leaves behind his wife and constant companion of 20 years, Louise and son William Crawford Booth. Mike also leaves his stepson, Scott and Cecel of Cadillac; stepdaughter, Cherri Dunnigan, her daughter Alisha and grandson Kyle, of Colorado. Although Mike was an only child, he was blessed to have his brother-in-law, Joe and Mona Thorpe of Davison, sister-in-laws, Susan (Larry) Jablonoski of AZ and Bonnie (Mike) Mills of SC. He will be missed by many people he made friends with over the years at General Motors, who fondly called him "Burt", due to his likeness of Burt Reynolds.
