Age 64, of Clio, passed away on April 16, 2024. In accordance with his wishes, cremation has taken place. A celebration of Tony’s life will be held at 1:00pm, Saturday, May 18, 2024, at Clio Bowling, 3345 West Vienna Road, Clio, MI 48420. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made out to the family. Expressions of sympathy may be shared with the family on Tony’s Tribute Wall at detroitcremationsociety.com.
Anthony (Tony) Thomas Short was born on June 23, 1959, in Flint, Michigan, the son of Mr. and Mrs. George and Carol (Kleiber) Short. Bowling was one of Tony’s biggest hobbies, frequently going to the Clio Bowling Alley. Tony also loved to golf, often traveling from course to course. He was a handyman and would lend a helping hand to anyone who needed it. Tony loved to cook, often referring to himself as a renowned chef. Most importantly, Tony enjoyed spending time with his beloved family.
Surviving Tony are his two daughters; Jamie (Jim) Gray, and Crystal (Robert) Leonard, his son; Tony (Andrea) Short II, his father; George Short, his nine grandchildren; Shelbie, Hailey, Allison, Mason, Riley, Ethan, Makenzie, Maverick, and McKinley, as well as many close friends and loved one.
