Bishop, Lillian of Flushing, Age 87, passed away Thursday, June 14, 2018 at Woodhaven Assisted Living. Funeral service will be 11:00 am Tuesday, June 19, 2018 at Rossell Funeral Home with Rev. Jim McKinnis officiating. Cremation will follow the service. Visitation will be Monday from 3-8 pm at the funeral home.
Lillian was born in North Shade Twp., Michigan on July 4, 1930, the daughter of Clifton and Ella (Johnson) Whitford. She married Howard Bishop in Ashley, Michigan on September 25, 1949 and he preceded her in death on March 3, 1999.
Lillian enjoyed bowling, gardening, and playing cards. She was also a longtime volunteer for the Cancer Society. Most of all, Lillian devoted her life to her children and grandchildren.
Lillian is survived by 4 children, son, Dennis (Barb) Bishop of Fenton; daughter, Colleen (Joe) Adams of Davison; son, Eric (Rochelle) Bishop of Bannister; and daughter, Cathy (Jim) Lanfrankie of Flushing; 17 grandchildren; 40 great grandchildren; 4 great great grandchildren; sister, Vivian Slocum; brother, Bob Whitford; many nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband, Howard, she was preceded in death by her son, Craig Bishop.
