Maher, Norma Jean “Rosie” of Flushing, age 72, died Saturday, August 1, 2015, at her residence. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Thursday, August 6, 2015, at Rossell Funeral Home. Fr. William Wegher will officiate. Burial will follow at Flushing Cemetery. Visitation will be 2-8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. If desired, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society or the Humane Society of Genesee County.
Norma Jean “Rosie” was born in Flint, Michigan on November 14, 1942, the daughter of Harold and Maxine (Fenton) Niles. She was a member of the American Legion Post 64, Women's Auxiliary. Rosie had many hobbies including, drawing and painting. She enjoyed reading, going to the casino, fishing and being up north at Indian Lake, but her greatest joy was spending time with her grandchildren.
Rosie is survived by her children, Angie and husband Jim Wills, Matt Sazy; grandchildren, Sydney, Spencer, Sadie; long time companion, Tom Morehouse; best friend, Sue Ramlow; beloved dog, Mookie; and her sister, Janet. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband, John Maher.
