GREENWAY, Ronald James – of Montrose, age 70, died Saturday, May 25, 2019 at his home. Honoring Ronald’s wishes cremation has taken place and no services will be held. Memorial contributions can be made to the family for future designation.
Ronald was born July 12, 1948 in Flint, Michigan to the late Robert and Elizabeth (Whyte) Greenway. He grew up in Flint, Michigan and moved to Montrose where he graduated from Montrose High School with the class of 1966. On August 10, 1979 he married Mary Jean Cook. Prior to his retirement in 2006, Ron worked for GM in the Sanitation and Electrical Department with 40 years of service. He was a member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses of Flushing. Ronald enjoyed fishing, boating, camping and campfires. He also liked cookouts, riding four wheelers, sailing with his son, and spending time with his family. Ronald was known for making a good Salisbury Steak meal for his family as well.
Surviving are: Wife Mary; Children, Rhonda (Dennis) Adams, Timothy (Ann) Greenway, Trudy (Thomas) Stergiopoulos, Tammy Athey, Denice (Joe) Taylor, Todd (April) Brewster; 13 Grandchildren; 6 Great Grandchildren; Siblings, JoAnne (Sam) Smith, George (Joyce) Price, Jim (Barbara) Greenway; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his Parents; Son, Danny Brewster; Grandson, Athawasios Tommy Stergiopoulos; Great Grandson, Logan Michel; Siblings, Bob Greenway, Shirley Wales.
