DUFF, Dorothy J. – of Grayling, formerly Birch Run, Michigan, age 83, passed away on Wednesday, July 24, 2019. Honoring her wishes, cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held at 11AM Saturday, July 27, 2019 at Community Church of God in Clio – 1215 W. Vienna Rd. Pastor Rhyan Glezman officiating. Later in the evening, a celebration of Dorothy’s life will be held at 6PM on the family farm in Grayling – 688 W. 4 Mile Rd. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the River House of Grayling or the charity of one’s choice.
Dorothy was born December 7, 1935 in Flint, Michigan to the late Everett and Autumn (Blackmore) Corwin. Dorothy retired from Fisher Body - Coldwater in 1985 with 30 years of service. She was very involved with the Auto City Eagles – Aerie #3485 of Mt. Morris and Grayling Eagles Aerie #3465. She volunteered with the FOE youth camp for over 35 years. Dorothy was an avid shopper, nature lover and enjoyed feeding the wildlife. She was a loving, giving, strong, and independent woman who lived life on her own terms. Above all, Dorothy loved visiting her children and grandchildren across the country.
Surviving are: Children: Carolyn Duff and Bruce Duff of Mt. Morris, Lisa (Steve) Tracy of Redmond, WA, Brian (Sheri) Duff of Ellenwood, GA, and Nancy (Craig) McRae of Stockbridge, GA; 11 Grandchildren; 24 great grandchildren; Sister in law, Pauline (Melvin) Engel of West Branch; Many loving nieces, nephews, other loving family members and dear friends. Dorothy was also preceded in death by her; Children: Diana, Tina and Allen Duff; Former husband, Eldred Duff; Partner Gerald Prevost; Mother and father in law, Anna Belle and Lloyd Duff.
