OSTRANDER, Glen “Pete” – Of Fenton, age 66, died Saturday, May 17, 2014 at his residence.
Memorial Service will be held at 5 p.m. Thursday, May 22, 2014 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Easter Seals.
Visitation 1 p.m. Thursday until the time of the service at the funeral home.
Glen was born on March 1, 1948.
Glen graduated from Bendle High School Class of 1966 and served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War.
He married his high school sweetheart, Sharon Hudson and together they built a home and raised their two children in Goodrich.
Glen started his career at Genesee Bank and continued to work in the financial industry until his retirement from Wells Fargo in 2013.
Outside of work Glen was involved in several boards and organizations within the community. He coached Little League for several years.
He enjoyed golfing, paddleball, U of M sports, lake living and spending time with his family and friends.
Surviving are two children, Jason of Fenton,
Jennifer and husband Patrick Stambaugh of Knoxville, TN;
five grandchildren, Joseph, Bill and Philip Ostrander of Fenton,
Elizabeth and Evan Stambaugh of Knoxville, TN;
two sisters, Diana Cuozzo of AZ,
Sandy and husband Garland McConnell of Crossville, TN;
several nieces, nephews and many special friends.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Dorothy and brother, George.
