Gerald Matthew Kraszewski, age 60, of Lapeer, died Wedesday, February 5, 2020. He was born November 29, 1959 in Flint, to Edward "Dick" and Dorothy (Spokes) Kraszewski.
Mr. Kraszewski married Linda Grant on September 21, 1985 at the West Court Street Church of God in Flint. He attended University of Michigan in Flint. In 2010 he retired as a Safety Officer at University of Michigan in Flint, after over 26 years. Gerald had many many dear friends at U of M Flint. Gerry loved time spent with family, especially his grandchildren. He was the favorite grandpa, spending hours reading to the grandchildren, helping them with homework, watching cartoons and was "Magic" at putting them down for naps.
Gerald is survived by his wife: Linda; sons: Andrew (Revée) Kraszewski of Clarksville, Tennessee and Matthew (Shaylee) Kraszewski of Lapeer; grandchildren: Audrey, Raelynn, Elijah, Sawyer, Eliana and Landon; brothers: Frank (Judy) Kraszewski of Evergreen, Colorado and Edward (Terry) Kraszewski of Flint; niece: Charla (Chad) Warren; nephews: Zachary Warren, Edward (Donali) Kraszewski and Austin Kraszewski. He was preceded in death by his grandson: Wyatt Kraszewski; and parents: Dick and Dorothy Kraszewski.
Visitation will be 1-4PM and 6-9PM Tuesday, February 11, 2020, at Muir Brothers Funeral Home in Lapeer. Gerald's funeral service will be 11AM Wednesday, February 12, 2020, at Muirs. Pastor Todd Petty will officiate with burial to follow in Mt. Hope Cemetery in Lapeer. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association or Hillside Discipleship Church.
