TAYLOR, Charles E. – of Flushing, age 71, died Saturday, October 27, 2018 at his residence. Funeral services will be held 11AM, Friday, November 2, 2018 at the O’Guinn Family Funeral Home in Clio. Rev. Herbert Banks officiating. Burial to follow in Thetford Township Cemetery. Family will receive visitors at the funeral home on Thursday from 5PM until 8PM and on Friday from 10AM until the time of service at 11AM. Memorial contributions may be made to the Charlevoix Church Camp.
Charles was born January 26, 1947 in Flint, Michigan to the late Myron and Juanita (Hayes) Taylor. He married Janice Kinney on August 6, 1983 in Clio, Michigan. Charles retried from General Motors in 1997 with over 30 years seniority and was a member of UAW Local# 598. He was also a member of New Creation Church of God in Flint. Charles enjoyed watching western films, collecting coins, and participating in church camp. In his earlier years, he enjoyed hunting, fishing, golfing, and bowling. Above all, he loved spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Surviving are: Wife, Janice Taylor; Children: Charles (Brenda) Taylor Jr., Roger (Gina) Taylor, Christopher (Lisa) Taylor, James (Teresa) Tanner, Jodi Taylor, and Jillian (Eugene) Adam; 13 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren; Brother, William (Barbara) Taylor; Sister, Janice (Bob) Chapman; Sister-in-law, Molly Taylor, and many nieces and nephews.
